When can I start the classes? Are they scheduled?
You can start your classes immediately after purchase. There’s no waiting period, no scheduled times, and no live Zoom sessions. Lieb School’s classes are fully on-demand - once you sign in to your dashboard, you can stream them anytime, from anywhere, at your own pace. Whether you want to complete everything in one weekend or chip away over time, you’re in control.

I’m signed in, but I can’t figure out how to find the acknowledgment sections or navigate the online course. Can you help?
Here’s how to navigate the course and make sure you don’t miss any required elements:
1. Sign into your account
2. On your dashboard, find the class you're currently taking under "Current Classes"
3. Click the course title to go to the course page

- Disclaimer
- Orientation
- Then the video course
🧭 On the course page, you’ll see a full list of the course elements in order. You can’t skip ahead.
✅ As you complete each section, a green checkbox will appear next to it.
If you're unsure what’s missing:- Scroll down and look for any sections without a green check
- Or click the “Continue Course” button in the top right corner — that will take you exactly to where you left off.
-
What technical requirements do I need for the classes?
We ensure support for various browsers such as Internet Explorer 9, Chrome (both the current version and the one before it), Firefox (current and previous version), and Safari 6. Your device should have a minimum of a 2 GHz CPU and at least 2 GB of RAM for 32-bit systems or 4 GB for 64-bit systems. The operating systems that we support include Windows 7, Mac OS X 10.7, iOS 6, and Android 4. It's important to have a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768. While it is technically possible to access the classes on a mobile phone, we do not recommend it due to potential limitations in user experience and functionality.

STEP 1: Pause the video
STEP 2: Close the video player
STEP 3: Sign out of the platform if stepping away
-
What is the time frame for completing an online class after registration?
Once you register for a Lieb School class, you have a 6-month window to complete it. If the class is not completed within this period, it will automatically expire, and you would need to repurchase the course if you wish to complete it after this time frame.
-
What should I do if I can’t hear the video?
Make sure to turn up the volume on your device before starting the video.
-
Are there Quizzes or Tests?
Yes, quizzes are a standard requirement for all online schools, including Lieb School. Our quizzes are administered online through our platform and consist of multiple-choice questions. To aid in your preparation, we provide a study guide for each quiz. Importantly, you have the opportunity to take these quizzes multiple times if necessary, ensuring that you can pass and fully understand the course material.
-
Can I retake the quizzes if I don’t pass?
Yes, you can retake each quiz as many times as needed until you pass. We recommend reviewing the study guide handout, available for download at the beginning of the class. It highlights key takeaways and will help you successfully answer the quiz questions.
-
How do I review my quiz answers?
After submitting a quiz, go to your Gradebook to view all questions and the correct answers. You can also click on the quiz title directly on the course page to review the quiz along with your submitted answers.
-
How can I obtain my certificate for a completed online class?
To download a certificate for an online class you've completed, simply log in to your account (reset your password if needed), navigate to your Dashboard, and select "Completed Courses." Choose the specific class for which you need the certificate and scroll to the bottom of the page. There, you'll find the "Certificate" option; click on "Download Certificate" to the right, and your certificate will open as a PDF.
-
Why don't my completed classes appear on my real estate trade organization or company's website?
Real estate licensees are responsible for updating their continuing education status with both the NY Department of State and their local board and broker. Each company may have a unique process for this, so it's advisable to consult with your broker or board for guidance. To renew your New York State Real Estate License, you must complete the online process via the Department of State's eACCESSny website. During renewal, it's crucial to confirm that you've fulfilled all Continuing Education requirements by selecting "Yes" to the related question. Choosing "No" in error will prompt the Department of State to request submission of all original course completion certificates before proceeding with your license renewal. Retaining these certificates is important, as they may be requested in case of a license audit.
-
What is Lieb School’s policy on cheating or misrepresenting learner identity?
Lieb School may report you to the Department of State for acts of untrustworthiness in the practice of Real Estate Brokerage.
-
How do I know what courses I have completed with Lieb School?
Simply log in to your account and click on your initials in the top right corner. Select "Account" from the dropdown menu, then head to the "Transcripts" section just below your initials. Here, click on "All Courses" and use the filter to sort by "Passed." This will show you a list of all the courses you've successfully completed.
-
Can I renew my expired real estate license in New York?
Yes, you can renew your expired real estate license in New York within two years of its expiration date. If your license has been expired for more than two years, it becomes null and void. You will need to retake and pass the NY licensing examination and reapply for a license. To renew your expired license within the two-year window, you can do so online if there is a broker of record in place and you have completed the required continuing education. Continuing education is necessary for renewal within the two-year period. However, if your license has been expired for over two years, you won't need to complete qualifying education again as long as you have a record in the Department of State system or can prove that you were previously issued a license. To start the renewal process, ensure you meet the requirements and proceed with the online renewal process through the New York Department of State website. For further assistance or information, you can visit the New York Department of State website or contact their Licensing Services Division directly.

I was taking an online video course and it stopped in the middle of the video and won’t let me move on. What should I do?
If your course video stops or won’t let you proceed, try the following steps:
Device Compatibility: Make sure you’re using a tablet, laptop, or desktop. Our videos do not work on mobile phones.
Browser: Ensure your internet browser is up to date.
Password Checkpoints: Our classes have password checkpoints. If prompted, make sure you enter the correct password. If you forgot it, you can reset it by logging into your account and clicking your initials in the top right corner of the site.
Internet Connection: Confirm that you have a strong, high-speed internet connection.

If you’ve tried all of the above and still need help, feel free to contact our support team for further assistance.

I’ve taken Lieb School classes in the past but can’t log into my account. What should I do?
First, try using the password reset link on the login page. If you don’t receive the reset email, check your spam or junk folder. If it’s still not there, it’s possible you're using an outdated email address or previously took in-person classes, which are no longer offered and may not be linked to an online account.
In that case, the best solution is to create a new account using your current email address. If you need assistance or have questions about past records, feel free to reach out to our support team.

I completed all 22.5 credits. How do I download a certificate for completing the entire program? And how do I know if I completed a class?
Lieb School issues certificates for individual classes only, not for entire package. Each 22.5-credit package is made up of multiple individual classes, and you’ll receive a certificate after completing each class, not the full package.
To check if you've completed a class and download your certificate:
1. Log into your account and go to your Dashboard.
2. You’ll see two tabs: “Current” and “Completed.” Classes you’ve finished will appear under the “Completed” tab. Classes still in progress will appear under “Current.”
3. To finish an in-progress class, click the class title and then the “Continue Course” button located at the top right of the page. Complete all course elements to be prompted to download your certificate.
4. To download a certificate from a completed class, click on the class under your “Completed” tab, scroll to the bottom of the course page, and click on “Certificate” to download it.
-
Do I have to complete every part of a course to receive credit and get my certificate? Can I skip a quiz or section?
Yes, to receive continuing education credit and be issued a certificate, you must complete the entire course, including all videos, quizzes, and course components. Partial completion does not qualify for credit, and certificates will not be issued unless the full course is finished.
For example, if you're taking the Agency Disclosure class, you must complete all class segments and quizzes (including Quiz 2) in order to download your certificate and receive credit toward your license renewal.
If you’re unsure which parts you’ve completed, log in to your account, go to your Dashboard, and click “Continue Course” to finish any remaining sections.
-
I’m having trouble opening a video or key takeaway in my online class. When I click, nothing happens. What should I do?
If you're having trouble accessing a video or key takeaway, try the following:
Make sure you’ve completed all prior sections of the class. Go to your class page and click the “Continue Course” button in the top right corner.
You’ll see green checkboxes next to completed sections. If a previous section is missing a green check, you’ll need to complete it before moving on.
Make sure you’re using a tablet, laptop, or desktop—some course features do not work on mobile devices.
If you're still experiencing issues, try clearing your browser’s cache and reloading the page.
Still stuck? Reach out to our support team and we’ll help you get back on track.
-
I’m in the middle of the class and want to print the key takeaways. How do I do that?
The easiest way to print the key takeaways is to scroll to the top of the class page and click on “Study Guide Handouts.” These study guides are downloadable PDFs that contain all the key takeaways from the class and are ready to print.
-
I’m taking a video class and want to sign out without losing my progress. How do I pause and sign out?
To pause your class and safely sign out:
On the bottom left of the video player, click the pause button (it looks like two lowercase “ll” lines, next to the video time and above the "Close" button).
Then, go to the top right corner of the screen where you’ll see your name, account, and the words “Sign Out.” Click “Sign Out” from there.
Your progress will be saved automatically, and you can pick up right where you left off when you log back in.
-
I'm having trouble signing into my Lieb School account. What should I do?
If your username and password aren't working, try clicking the "Reset Password" link on the sign-in page. You'll be prompted to enter your email address. If your email exists in our system, you’ll receive a link to reset your password.
If you don’t receive the email, that may mean:
- You don’t have an account with us yet
- Or, your account is under a different email address
We recommend:
- Trying other email addresses you may have used
- Using a personal email instead of a work email for future access, especially if you change brokerages
Still stuck? You can always create a new account with your preferred email.
Pro tips:
- Try signing in from another browser or device
- Clear your browser cache — old saved data can cause login issues

How does Lieb School handle reporting of my completed continuing education credits to the Department of State (DOS), and am I required to submit my course certificates to the DOS?
You are required to renew your license and ensure that all 22.5 credits have been completed by your license renewal deadline. Lieb School facilitates this process by reporting your completed credits, which are essential for license renewal, directly to the Department of State, Bureau of Educational Standards. Upon completing each class, we submit your information to confirm the successful completion of courses. The certificates you receive serve as proof of your credit hours and should be kept safely, as they may be required by the DOS in case of an audit. While Lieb School handles the submission of your completion records to the Department of State, the responsibility of renewing your license rests with you.
-
Do I receive time credit for taking the quizzes?
Yes, you receive time credit for the duration it takes to complete each quiz.
-
Where can I find the course syllabus?
The syllabus is provided as a downloadable handout. It’s recommended that you download it before starting the course.
-
What resources help me prepare for the quizzes?
Use the Key Takeaways and Study Guides provided throughout the course to prepare for and pass the quizzes.
-
How long do I have to complete the course?
You must complete the course within 6 months of your registration date.
-
How is my credit submitted to the NY Department of State (DOS)?
Lieb School will submit your credit exactly as you entered your licensee information during registration. It is your responsibility to ensure it is accurate. You can update your information by clicking on your initials on the top right screen. You are responsible for renewing your license with the Department of State of NY.
-
What if I don’t complete all my CE credits before my license renewal?
Lieb School is not responsible for ensuring you complete all 22.5 CE credits. It is your responsibility to finish your required coursework by your license renewal deadline. Once you complete your classes, you may notify the New York Department of State directly. Downloadable certificates are available immediately upon course completion as proof of your credits.
-
Where can I access my certificate of completion?
After finishing the course, download your certificate immediately. It will also remain available under the course title for 6 months from your registration date. In your dashboard, there are two tabs: “Current Courses” and “Completed Courses.” If you’ve completed a course, click on the “Completed Courses” tab, find the class, scroll to the bottom of the list, and you’ll be able to download your certificate from there.
-
What happens if I misrepresent my identity or cheat?
Lieb School may report any form of cheating or misrepresentation to the Department of State for acts of untrustworthiness, which may affect your real estate license.
-
What are password checkpoints?
Password checkpoints are brief verification prompts that appear during the course to confirm that you, the enrolled student, are actively taking the class. They help ensure compliance with NY DOS continuing education standards.
-
How do I know when a password checkpoint is coming?
Password checkpoints are randomly placed during the course video. You won’t receive advance notice, so be sure to stay present and engaged throughout the lesson.
-
What happens if I miss a password checkpoint?
If you miss a checkpoint, you may be required to restart that section of the course to receive credit. Always stay near your screen and watch the course actively.
-
How do I enter the password when prompted?
When a password prompt appears, type the word exactly as shown on screen into the text field and submit. Make sure you spell it correctly.
If the password isn’t accepted, your browser may have auto-filled an old password from a previous checkpoint. To fix this:
Clear the text field manually and retype the current password exactly as displayed on screen.
If the issue continues, clear your browser’s cached data or use an incognito/private browsing window to prevent autofill issues.
If that does not work, go to the login page and reset your password, then in the video section type the exact password you reset.
-
How long do I have to enter the password when the checkpoint appears?
You have 2 minutes to enter the password once the checkpoint appears on screen. If you don’t enter it in time, you may be required to restart that section of the course to receive credit. Make sure to stay present and attentive during the video.
-
I just watched this video for a half hour but missed the password prompt. How do I continue without rewatching the whole thing?
We understand how frustrating that can be. Unfortunately, due to State licensing regulations, schools are required to include randomized password checkpoints during online video courses. These are designed to ensure that students are actively engaged and not multitasking during class.
If a password prompt is missed, the course platform is required to reset your progress to maintain compliance.
Password checkpoints are a regulatory requirement all schools must follow to maintain our course approvals.

The instructor said to take a break, but nothing is happening. What should I do?
If the instructor in your video says to take a break and the video just stops, don’t worry — this likely means you’ve reached the end of the unit. Some students accidentally sit waiting for the video to continue, but the system is actually waiting for you!
To move forward:
STEP 1: Look just below the video player on the bottom left side.
STEP 2: You’ll see a button labeled “Close.”
STEP 3: Click Close to continue to the Key Takeaways and the next unit in your class.
This is a common moment of confusion — you're not alone! Once you hit "Close," the rest of the course will continue as expected.
